Enjoying the fame that came with his new secret identity, Tony Stark decided to share it with the world by publicly posing as Iron Man.
After vanquishing enemies around the world as Iron Man, Stark himself lay dying as his own arc reactor slowly poisoned his body while being challenged by the vengeful terrorist Ivan Vanko, who was trying to destroy his legacy. Due to her support in many fights, Stark reluctantly agreed to act as an advisor to director Nick Furys Peacekeeping Intelligence Agency SHIELD, where he used his position to improve their technology while beginning a relationship with Pepper Potts. With the world threatened again, Stark was convinced to join the Avengers and helped defeat the Chitauri and Loki . Due to the battle, he suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder which led him to create the Iron Legion to protect the world and help him retire.
Threats from the Mandarin forced Stark to come out of retirement to protect the world. Stark continued his mission and found out that Aldrich Killian was behind the attacks and Trevor Slattery was a fake Mandarin and Stark defeated Killian, almost losing Pepper Potts in the process. After the battle, Stark destroyed all of his armor using the Clean Slate Protocol. However, when the Avengers were officially remobilized due to the war against Hydra, Stark constructed more armor and resumed his role as Iron Man, aiding them in the capture of Wolfgang von Strucker and acquiring Loki's scepter .
After the Hydra threat finally ended, Stark, with the help of Bruce Banner , built Ultron as a new peacekeeping artificial intelligence to protect the world and allow the Avengers to retreat. However, Ultron believed that humanity was threatening the world and therefore decided to wipe out humanity. Through the work of the Avengers, Ultron was defeated, but not without a massive civilian cost and many casualties. After the Ultron offensive, Stark retired from active duty. The guilt of creating Ultron and causing so much destruction and loss of life eventually convinced Stark to sign the Sokovia Accordsto support. However, Stark's own strong support for the Accord led to a disagreement with his ally Captain America , who opposed the cause and what it meant for the team.
As Rogers continued to break the law to protect the Winter Soldier , Stark was forced to lead the manhunt for his old ally and ignite Civil War. Eventually, Stark learned that Helmut Zemo had manipulated them into a conflict just to show that the Winter Soldier was responsible for the murder of Stark's parents, leading Stark to seek revenge and fight both Rogers and Barnes. With Rogers and Barnes on the run, Stark returned to New York to become a mentor to Spider-Man and guide him to make him a better hero than ever.
Stark then pre-engaged to Pepper Potts and was recruited by Doctor Strange and Bruce Banner to protect Earth from Thanos and the Black Order . Strange was captured and this prompted Stark and Spider-Man to rescue him from captivity and travel to the planet Titan to fight Thanos with the help of the Guardians of the Galaxy . Stark later fought directly with Thanos and was able to land some hard hits, but was eventually defeated by Thanos. He was willing to die to save the universe, but Doctor Strange interfered. Strange gave Thanos the Time Stonein exchange for Stark's life. Stark stayed on Titan with Nebula , watching their allies turn to ash.
The Benatar was damaged when Stark and Nebula tried to escape Titan, leaving them stranded in space. Captain Marvel rescued them and took them to the New Avengers Facility. While Nebula joined the Avengers, Stark retired, married Potts, and had a daughter named Morgan Stark . In 2023, five years after the Decimation , Stark rejoined the Avengers after finding the key to time travel and traveled back to 2012 to retrieve the scepter containing the Mind Stone, and then to 1970 to the Tesseract with the space stoneto win back. After the Avengers had all six Infinity Stones , Stark used them to eliminate Thanos and his army once and for all, sacrificing his life in the process.
Biography Iron Man (Tony Stark)
DEATH OF PARENTS AND CEO OF STARK INDUSTRIES
In December 1991, when Tony was just 21, Howard and Maria were preparing to go away for a few days and leave him alone, although his father remained skeptical about how responsible Tony would be while they were gone. Unfortunately, they died in a car accident on Long Island. Stark was driven into mourning for her death. For a few months, Howard's business partner Obadiah Stane took over as interim CEO of Stark Industries until Tony officially took over the role shortly thereafter. Sometime later, Tony's longtime family butler, Edwin Jarvis , also died .
A few months later, he inherited Stark Industries and became the youngest CEO of a Fortune 500 company in history. After building his own mansion, Stark built an AI system to help around the house. He named the system "Just a Rather Very Intelligent System", abbreviated JARVIS, in homage to his late butler Edwin Jarvis , whom he had often credited for helping with his own upbringing. Eventually, James Rhodes joined the US Air Force and became the liaison between Stark Industries and the US Armed Forces. Under Stark's leadership with the help of Obadiah Stane, Stark Industries quickly grew into one of the most advanced companies in the world, creating new forms of weapons technology that seemed very futuristic to most who have studied the weapons.
TIME AS AN ARMS DEALER
On New Year's Eve 1999, Stark attended a scientific conference in Bern, Switzerland, with fellow scientist Maya Hansen. There, Stark got so drunk he could barely deliver his speech and got back to the party as soon as he could. During the celebration, he met a scientist named Ho Yinsen, who introduced him to Doctor Wu.
While roaming the hotel with Happy Hogan and Hansen, Stark then arrogantly avoided a gifted but crippled scientist, Aldrich Killian, who wanted Stark's financial backing for his own science company, Advanced Idea Mechanics. When they were alone together in an elevator, Stark then purposely told the excited Killian to meet him on the roof of the building to talk about working with Stark Industries, with the intention of not showing up.
Back in Hansen's hotel room, Stark viewed her new research on a project called Extremis, which had the potential to regrow human limbs. Stark was amazed at the concept. Stark and Hansen then went to their bedroom where they continue flirting with each other. Stark sent Hogan away and then spent the night with Hansen, leaving Killian freezing on the roof who even contemplated suicide out of utter humiliation. Stark was unaware of Killian's affliction and woke up the next morning, completing Hansen's formula for her before heading home alone.
In 2010, Stark and James Rhodes went to a gun demonstration at the Yuma Proving Ground. Pepper Potts gave the generals the details of the gun while Stark and Rhodes headed to one of the nightclubs. Stark enjoyed the company of two girls while Rhodes tried to persuade him not to go to Afghanistan for a gun demonstration. Stark was then attacked by a man whose girlfriend he had previously seduced, but Rhodes overpowered the attacker. Stark, Rhodes and the girls headed to Tony Stark's Mansion to continue the party.
After presenting Stark's successful past, James Rhodes had the honor of presenting him with the Apogee Award at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Obadiah Stane accepted the award in honor of Stark. Shortly after the awards ceremony, Rhodes brought Stark the award while playing at the Casino at Caesars Palace. The next morning, his assistant, Pepper Potts, reminded him of the upcoming trip to Afghanistan. Stark remained smug, unperturbed by the delay. He got to the plane three hours late and saw that Colonel James Rhodes was still waiting there, incredibly upset that he had to wait so long. He then boarded the plane and sat down with Rhodes, who was attempting to discuss business between Stark Industries and the United States Armed Forces,
Despite wanting to talk about his work, Stark managed to convince Rhodes to have a drink with him and before long he and Rhodes were completely drunk and having a little party on the plane. When Rhodes discussed his work in the US Air Force, Stark completely ignored his friend and focused his attention on the flight attendants.
PRESENTATION OF JERICHO
In Afghanistan, he presented Stark Industries' latest weapon, the Jericho missile. In a speech, Stark stated that the missile was so powerful that it only needed to be fired once to defeat the enemy. The rocket was fired and Stark received a round of applause from everyone. Stark boarded a convoy. As Stark's vehicle drove through Afghanistan to the US Forces baseto return, the convoy was suddenly attacked by insurgents. Stark watched in horror as the soldiers were gunned down. While Stark was using his phone to ask someone for help, one of Stark Industries' own bombs suddenly landed right at him. Stark saw this and desperately tried to escape, but he was too slow and the bomb detonated right next to him. The resulting explosion caused him to lose consciousness and several pieces of shrapnel entered his chest, several fragments dangerously close to his heart.
AS A HOSTAGE OF THE TEN RINGS
While regaining consciousness, Stark felt excruciating pain as surgery was performed on his chest to remove the pieces of shrapnel and save his life. Stark dozed off again, only to find himself in front of a camera as some terrorists read a ransom note to an unidentified bystander while Stark was threatened with guns. He woke up some time later to find Ho Yinsen in his cell with him and an electromagnet on his chest. Connected to a car battery, Yinsen explained that the electromagnet stopped the shrapnel from entering his heart and killing him.
When Yinsen ordered Stark to get up, they were greeted by Abu Bakaar, who had Yinsen translate as he hailed Stark as the greatest mass murderer in all of United States history. Bakaar explained that he now wanted Stark to rebuild the Jericho missile for him, but Stark refused. Bakaar had Stark tortured. Stark was then taken outside the cave, where Bakaar showed him how the Ten Rings had an incredible stockpile of his Stark Industries' weaponry, including guns and missiles used against US forceswere used, which clearly horrified Stark. Continuing his earlier conversation, Bakaar told Stark that they had all the materials he needed to build a Jericho rocket and promised that if he started immediately after its completion, he would return home. Stark agreed to the job, although he was certain Bakaar would never allow him to escape.
THE FIRST IRON MAN ARMOR
Knowing that their captors would never keep their end of the bargain, Stark began the work required of him and Ho Yinsen, but he had also begun implementing a plan to escape. To improve Stark's condition, he and Yinsen then created a miniature Arc Reactor, which they placed in his chest to power the electromagnet that protects his heart. After successfully building the Arc Reactor, Stark Yinsen said he would not only use it to save his heart, but to power something bigger for a short time. Stark then revealed to Yinsen his plans, hidden under several blueprints, to build armor that he would soon use to finally retrieve from the cave.
Stark and Yinsen then returned to their jobs, disassembling parts of the various Stark Industries weapons that were being shipped to them. They then fused the pieces and turned them into plates that could be added after the armor was completed. However, the pair made sure their work was still kept random enough that the Ten Rings couldn't figure out their deception until it was finally too late for them. Fearing for their lives, Stark and Yinsen secretly began to build the final stages of the suit of armor. After assembling the various large pieces of steel to customize his own body, Stark outfitted the armor with various missiles and flamethrowers and prepared for any eventuality, knowing.
VICTORY OVER THANOS AND DEATH
Stark was mortally wounded after using the Infinity Gauntlet to eliminate Thanos and his army in 2023. After Captain America , Thor and Captain MarvelHaving failed to snatch the gauntlet from Thanos, Stark realized that the "endgame" of Strange was about to play out: he stole the stones from Thanos' gauntlet and placed them in his own armor. He used the stones to rip Thanos and his army from existence. But Stark was just a mere mortal man, unable to cope with the forces of the universe. The stones badly injured the right side of Stark's body and he collapsed in the rubble of the New Avengers Facility. Stark died amid War Machine, Spider-Man , and Pepper Potts while Thor and Captain America looked on. Stark held Pepper's hand over his heart and his last word was "Pep". Then he died sacrificing himself to save the universe...
Personality Of Iron Man (Tony Stark)
A lot of people in the media think Tony Stark is just a self-absorbed playboy. As an adult, he was known for being arrogant, apathetic, callous, and a hedonist who enjoyed the finer things in life, namely drinking, gambling, partying, and flirting. However, Tony is shown to care about people, especially his friends. Though Tony causes trouble on occasion, he's more than willing to make up for his mistakes, which is why he became a superhero too. Eccentric, brilliant, outgoing and conceited, Tony is a classic playboy, with his wealth, power and natural charm allowing him to reach almost any woman he wants. But despite his rather carefree and confident personality, there is loneliness in Tony's heart, as Ho Yinsen aptly described him: "A man
However, over the following years Tony has matured, gradually becoming more of a team player and becoming a little less arrogant and cynical. He even started opening up and having a real relationship with Pepper Potts. Tony's exploits as Iron Man caused him to re-evaluate his life, and Tony now strives to use his inventions in a more responsible and considerate manner. A textbook example of a Byronic hero, he never quite lets go of his character flaws, but uses them to push him along as a reminder to do better, and often makes self-defeating jokes or comments. Despite this attitude, Tony is an exceptionally brave and selfless individual, as shown when he single-handedly defeated an almost omnipresent Thanosfaced him, armed only with a sword, without hesitation. A trait that earned him the Titan's true respect as a hero. He further demonstrated this by asking that Strange not trade his life for the Time Stone , aware that his own survival was unimportant in the face of the trillions dead.
After the Battle of New York , Tony developed a strong fear that in this new world of "gods" and "aliens" he would not be able to protect those he loves, leading him to become paranoid and full of fear to become, which in turn led Tony to build first the Iron Legion and then the Ultron AI, so the only threats to Earth came from Earth itself. However, compared to the other Avengers, Tony was very prescient, always seeing the 'big picture', willing to take risks, jeopardize his morals, and dabble in shades of gray to get results. As is the case with the Sokovia AgreementIt showed where Tony was willing to endure hardships in the present to build a better future.
Despite his love of the limelight, the idea of a normal life intrigued Tony as he attempted to break away from the Iron Man personality. In fact, prior to his involvement in Infinity War, he considered the possibility of him and Pepper having children together.
